I guess since it is Monday and all that I should probably write a post- since I know you’re all dying to hear what is going on in my life (because it is quite eventful and exciting)

As I sit here eating my brownie, thinking how glad I am that I’m able to avoid the freshman 15 and have my dessert too (due to my activity of choice) I am wondering what I am allowed to tell you- and why I have a spike in views today… maybe it’s ’cause it’s monday.

Ok, so since it’s monday- I should write something. You may be interested in knowing that my family came on saturday. It was a freakin’ busy day full of food. The schedule: Wake up, breakfast, clean the dorm room, shower, they’re here!, go to lunch with the roomie, go to a BBQ with the roomie and the like, go to the stadium parking lot, tailgate, watch the game (left at end of 3rd quarter), say goodbyes, go with the roomie, floormates, and RA to the union to see Leatherheads (with George Clooney), came home, crashed.

Yestruday (Sunday), the roomateS and I went to church, the same as last week. We decided against this one. It’s just not clicking like we had hoped. We trying a new one next week, of course. And last night we went to a fantabulous girls Bible study. I’m so glad that God has placed this girl in my life (the leader-ish of the group).

Today I went to my classes: Psych (it made me sooo sleepy!), chem (we did my least favorite thing: naming compunds), lunch (oh, guess this isn’t a class…), spanish 4 (i’m totally the youngest one in there- there are like five 21y/o’s in there! i feel like i need to prove myself-

Hmm. let’s see. any interesting pictures in my camera?? YES! On wednesday last week we painted our doorstop- aka a pretty-ized brick:

Oh, wait- is that a hint for you know what?? No, those arent giant Q-tips.

I better be wrapping this up. I have a study date at the library. No not like a Date date- like with a boy (I wish)- like an appointment kind of thing. Kinda mandatory appointment. Yay! Homework! It’s funny, having these appointments makes me put off doing my homework.

Oh, and I got a rose last night. I’d take a picture- but it’s way too much work at this point. I gotta be packing up my stuff. Last study night I didn’t bring my computer; big mistake.

PS and by the way- my shin splints are like pretty much gone. The Lord is so good to me. Really.

128 minutes

Yeah, 2 hours and 8 minutes. What took that long, you ask. Getting my internet to work. Honestly, it would have taken MUUUUCH less time had Jefferson from Coasta Rica not been so talkative. He was very nice mind you. Even inviting me to stay at his house when i go there (?!!!!!!?!). We talked about/in Spanish (my love and his first language- apparently I have a good accent), movies( he has 110+ of them), books, religion, Costa Rica, my job, his job, my computer being wierd (me thinking: oh great). Needless to say, he was much more fun to talk to than India girl with Dell.

Well, I should probably tell you about my spinning class this afternoon. Actually it was an RPM class- but a rather mild one in my opinion. I haven’t been to this class in about 3 months and figured i should go to say goodbye/thank to the instructor L. L. has an interesting attitude. For one he likes to drink. Oh, but it’s for his heart, mind you. So since he has a bit of an attitude I tend to speak up a bit more in that class. It was fun to see everyone again though.

After my spin class I went for a little run. i wanted to run for 30min but only accomplished 5min. Why? Because the new shoes that are supposed to be good for me hurt me like none other! My achilles tendonitis from junior year has returned. So has knee pain. Oh and the shinsplints are still there. So you may be wondering how i even made it 5 minutes with such discomfort (because it was pretty bad). It was all because of the basketball game going on beneath the track (since I run above and around the track). I can’t just stop running when I have their attention lol- as well as the attention from the boys on the track who were showing off LOL. Which I think this is all really funny because 1. i was wearing no make up at all 2. i felt gross 3. i smelled gross 4. my hair was in lopsided pigtails… and the list could go on.

Wanna know why I felt gross today. that’s a good topic for tomorrow. I can say a lot about it. And since tomorrow is Tuesday- we can have a TMI Tuesday again! YAY!!!

Mumble Jumble

I need to give some credit to Crabby McSlacker for this portion of my post… even though I was already thinking about posting about it today…

We totally got an AC unit in our spinning room at the gym today. Well, we probably got it yesturday, because it wasn’t there on monday. But gues what was there on monday?? Fans. Yes, three of them. Praise the Lord almighty! I have been told that it has reached 90* in there recently. It probably doesn’t help that it is located in a “renovated” raquetball court/room. They closed off the top because it was too noisy… and people were getting hit with raquetballs :/ . (no gym-boy today; it almost made me cry 😦 )

As for the rest of my day- It was pretty low key, but still pretty awesome. After an intense spinning session I went to the library- yes I was still stinky… I picked up my books that were on hold: Anne of the Island and some Beverly Lewis amish book in the Abram’s Daughters series. Let’s just say I’m stoked to start reading these. Came home, talked with mom, had lunch, went to wal-mart and the dollar store, came home, snacked, napped, blogged, ate dinner, talked with my grandpa and aunt, and back to blogging.

As for my snack… well, one of them. I had a slice of watermelon.

As you can see, I like to eat my watermelon with a grapefruit spoon. It’s the only fun way to enjoy watermelon, you know. In the top left corner you can see my new toothpaste from wal-mart and O’s dramamine for her bus ride to and from summer church camp coming up here soon.

I can’t remember if ‘ve said this yet, but my birthday is on Sunday- it’s the big 18!!! OMG, can’t wait. I’m talking with the parents about going to a KC T-bones game. Don’t know if thats what we’ll do or not. For dinner: something REALLY ethnic.

**As for food, I’m thinking of starting a food diary type blog, kinda like Kath has… but mine wont be as good. I’m sure it will be interesting as I have a situation that not many other bloggers will have: *edited out* trying to lose weight while eating res. hall food. **
