Well, I’m pretty sure that I got an A+ on my Chemistry test. That’s one less thing to worry about, along with having practice out of the way. It was especially fun today! Does that mean easy? Nah… just super fun and different.

Wanna know what else is super fun? Listening to Christmas music whilst packing/cleaning for Thanksgiving break. I will be getting on the road at approx. 11:30 a.m. (in about 2 hours!!) The trip will be much nicer and faster since my friend M. is tagging along.

The rats will be going with the roomie, home, since I am traveling to the windy city to see family for a couple of days. My parents weren’t too keen on the idea of having a rat in the car for an 8 hour road trip. They think it might make things smelly. You know what my answer to that is? Dad. Gas. Eww. Besides, we’re cleaning the cage right now.

It’s my turn to hold the rats, I put them in my newly emptied trash can… hey, it works. They are so cute. They made a fort with the newspaper in their cage:

042

It’ll be tough to leave Bootsie for about a week, but I might be able to manage. You know what’s going to be difficult? Leaving my teammates. I’m going to miss them 😦 But it’s probably going to be worse over Christmas break: a whole month without my best buddies!

Well, gotta go finish up the packing. Gotta make my list and check it twice. Pick out something nice.

I guess since it is Monday and all that I should probably write a post- since I know you’re all dying to hear what is going on in my life (because it is quite eventful and exciting)

As I sit here eating my brownie, thinking how glad I am that I’m able to avoid the freshman 15 and have my dessert too (due to my activity of choice) I am wondering what I am allowed to tell you- and why I have a spike in views today… maybe it’s ’cause it’s monday.

Ok, so since it’s monday- I should write something. You may be interested in knowing that my family came on saturday. It was a freakin’ busy day full of food. The schedule: Wake up, breakfast, clean the dorm room, shower, they’re here!, go to lunch with the roomie, go to a BBQ with the roomie and the like, go to the stadium parking lot, tailgate, watch the game (left at end of 3rd quarter), say goodbyes, go with the roomie, floormates, and RA to the union to see Leatherheads (with George Clooney), came home, crashed.

Yestruday (Sunday), the roomateS and I went to church, the same as last week. We decided against this one. It’s just not clicking like we had hoped. We trying a new one next week, of course. And last night we went to a fantabulous girls Bible study. I’m so glad that God has placed this girl in my life (the leader-ish of the group).

Today I went to my classes: Psych (it made me sooo sleepy!), chem (we did my least favorite thing: naming compunds), lunch (oh, guess this isn’t a class…), spanish 4 (i’m totally the youngest one in there- there are like five 21y/o’s in there! i feel like i need to prove myself-

Hmm. let’s see. any interesting pictures in my camera?? YES! On wednesday last week we painted our doorstop- aka a pretty-ized brick:

Oh, wait- is that a hint for you know what?? No, those arent giant Q-tips.

I better be wrapping this up. I have a study date at the library. No not like a Date date- like with a boy (I wish)- like an appointment kind of thing. Kinda mandatory appointment. Yay! Homework! It’s funny, having these appointments makes me put off doing my homework.

Oh, and I got a rose last night. I’d take a picture- but it’s way too much work at this point. I gotta be packing up my stuff. Last study night I didn’t bring my computer; big mistake.

PS and by the way- my shin splints are like pretty much gone. The Lord is so good to me. Really.

It came and went

I woke up this morning and lazily got ready for my day. I did the usual and then added the finishing touches to my packing toward the end of my routine. At about 10, we left the house. Mom was with me, Dad was driving the minivan with all of my stuff in it. two hours later, we’re in *edited out*. First stop:lunch.

We went to wendy’s. I got my fav: southwest taco salad. it’s got chili in it! While in line we met a retired professor. Dr. L. He was very nice. We talked about his car ( and ’34 ford- since we saw him driving it) and about him working on his new house. We talked a bit about me. (it was a long line) Then, what caught me off guard: since his new house is by the boathouse, he said to just drop on by his house any time- just to say hi. This is part of why I chose *edited out* . People are much friendlier over here.

Even people that are not from the area are nice. When I was checking in with my RA, a kid from h.s. walked up to me and asked if I needed any help unloading stuff. We knew each other- but never really talked much the past 4 years.

So it’s now 1 o’clock. We worked on moving my stuff in. (and i got my id card from the union somewhere in there) It took quite a while. But everything fits!

We make a walmart run. get some stuff. get back. tell my parents bye. no tears. put sutff away. have some spaghetti-o’s (with meatballs!) and a banana- separate, of course. put some more stuff away. called a friend. interupted her prayer meeting- sorry. got ready. went out for a bite. came back. made plans for tomorrow… all day tomorrow. realized that someone forgot to lock the door. turned the laptop on. spent an hour trying to get *edited out* to realize my computer was safe. now im here trying to hurry things up.

i have plenty of pictures. you’ll see some soon. maybe tomorrow. maybe in 5 years. (when i’m outta here?!)

My First Real Trip to Kohl’s

One fish

Two fish

Red fish

Blu… backpack!

Sorry, I couldn’t help but use the fishies as a shoe in to my new backpack when I saw this shirt. (thanks mom for hiding modeling!)

Now what gangsta wouldn’t want this Tshirt?

While at Kohl’s I got my school shopping done. They had an awesome clearance section- which had just the things I was looking for: (jersey?) knit skirts. I also got some tanks to wear at practice- they were $2.80 each. I know, I’m pretty awesome at finding deals.

I also got a new laptop today- since the pink dell ain’t workin so great. You can see it next to my new baby amongst my new computer garbage:

Yeah, it’s an HP. All my friends but one got HP’s. They all like theirs. Therefore: I got a new HP instead of another silly dell computer. Haha, it was very funny: Dad said, “Now you shouldnt have problems with this one. At least I hope.” Then I thought my baby didn’t come with a charger. Called Dad and bestbuy to complain. Then I found it. Then I couldn’t find my SD card slot. Called Dad to say it didn’t have one (it’s crucial to blogging you know!) then he found it. Then I tried to put in my extended batteru, but I couldn’t get it to fit. Had Dad work on it. Finally I was right: it was the wrong battery lol. Now I gotta figure out how to get the extended battery when it’s not in the stores yet since this is such a new computer and I leave town in a week- and its currently on sale for $60 off.

Now all I’m concerned about is loading the *edited out* security thingy. I might win an iPod if I do this before school! I’m all up for free stuff and deals so if you ever feel like sending me stuff, go right ahead.

*picture edited out*

Sorry for the long post. I think that it could be mainly attributed to my outstanding humor, so your eyes shouldn’t fall out just yet. I’m off to watch more swimming/ get ready for bed. I’m tired and have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow. It will be my last saturday in town and last day of work/ saturday morning water aerobics.

I Don’t Know What to Call This Post

So, the sisters started school today. Haha, sucks for them. Not only do I start school a week later, I get out 2 weeks earlier, plus I get to meet cute college boys!

Yeah, I’m in a bit of a better mood tonight. I don’t know why. I’ve got plenty of things I could be upset at. I’m guessing it might have something to do with me looking forward to going to the gym tomorrow. Hopefully I will see gym boy tomorrow (although I doubt I will). I want to talk to him about college- he’s going to *edited out* too you know! …but he doesn’t know that I know that. Maybe I need to back off on my stalker tendencies.

Speaking of stalkerishness… I went to the Ali Kemp self defense class, Take Defense, last night. I took O. and met 2 of my friends there. A. was wearing the same *edited out* shirt as I was. I guess she has pretty good taste, huh? M. thought it was funny, she’s going to *edited out* as well- but she didn’t wear her crazy awesome shirt. My favorite part of the class was hitting th B.O.B. bag (the fake guys- that feel like a person when you hit them). At first I kept missing his face. Then I really started trying to hit him- I almost knocked it over. It was very empowering. Oh, and my 2nd favorite part of class- pretty much throwing O. across the room -inadvertantly of course! 😉 .

Since I have aprrox. 2 weeks left until I move into *edited out*, I have been hurrying up they whole prep phase for college. I have to say that I have kind of put it off. Until now. I have been in the process of dealing with a boat load of dr.’s appointments. I mean a lot of them. I’ve already been to 2 eye, 1 dr., 1 dentist, and 1 radiology (checking for stress fractures in my shins!!!) appointment. I have who knows how many eye appointments left, a retainer check, a couple pt sessions (if they are shin splints), a follow up dr.’s appointment for my shins, and i think thats it. All of these are goin’ down in the period of 2 weeks 4 days. I know, it’s craziness.

All the craziness has worn me out. I’ve come down with a cold… it’s august people. Colds shouldn’t be had when it’s 100*+ outside! So craziness + a cold = no regular posts for the last couple of days.

Back to college. **edited out**

**Despite the fact that I’m now an adult and take myself to my own doctors appointments, I asked my dad for help with dealing with Dell. My mom just recieved an email from my dad’s company’s dell correspondent who said that they were going to handle my problem, even though I’m out of the 21 day warranty period. Whoo Hoo, Go Dad! And btw, the Dr said no more running untilwe figure out whats going on with my shins. Hey, at least I got to my summer goal: running a 5k, last thursday!**

OK- Let’s Go!

After my wonderful workout this morning, where I ran for a total of 30 minutes (a personal best), I drove by work to pick up my paycheck and bought some gas (for a low, low price of $3.79!!) before heading home. When I got home I started packing for my weekend trip to Oklahoma!

B has yet another basketball tourney where I will be in attendence. According to the parents of other teams, we are the team to beat. I think that’s a nice place to be in.

Back to me. This hotel has a cool set up. Since they don’t have a “little gym” inside the hotel, you can go workout at the gym down the road, Body Works. We drove past it, it’s a hole in the wall of a strip mall. I’m not expecing much. I guess I should be happy for something, rather than being left empty-handed. (Although one of the main reasons I go to the gym is to see gym-boy. Who cares about meaningful conversation- nothing matters once you see those baby blues- at least I think that’s what color his eyes are)

Ugh, my “t” key doesn’t want to work. Really, I’ve been left unsatisfied by this computer. It is slow, it jumbles up things on the screen, the touch volume control hasn’t worked well at all, I hate vista, and the extended battery doesn’t last the 4.5 hours it’s supposed to. I’m pissed off and I want to go to bed. Hopefully my w/o at that “gym” will cheer me up (??).

Watching his always cheers me up (but I won’t be watching it because I want some shut eye!)

**I wish that boy at the front desk would stop trying to make eye contact with me. He’s too short for me… And I’m cranky**
