Yeah, see that… the RSS feed for my new twitter account? Yep, it’s new.
It isn’t the prettiest looking widget that I’ve got over there, but it’s nifty. I love that I can text twitter and it will update it for me. That way you can know about the next time I see the mutant squirrel that lives by my psychology building.
I’m noticing that it takes a while to process that I’ve posted something new… so you may not hear about me almost getting run over by a bicycle until 2 hours after the fact.
And I’m feeling quite a bit better now. I’m exhausted still but at least I don’t feel like puking every time I move my head.

And I totally lost a couple pounds this last week just by dropping down to one bowl of cereal and cutting down on the sweets. But with the above menu I was able to maintain my weight. Aren’t you jealous??
**I saw gym boy today!!! I was walking out of my Spanish class about 20 minutes late (talking to the prof. about the outline…) and he was “parked” outside of the building I was walking out of. It was a nice day so he had the window rolled down in what is not his car (because I totally am a creepy stalker and know what he drives) There was eye contact. Wish there was a wave… but I think he might be in a frat and was with his frat… brothers… is that what you call them??**
Sometimes I wish that I knew how to do something cool like play the piano. I mean really, then I could just sit down and jam out. Like the guy at the dining center today.
At lunch he just sat down and started play the piano. He wasn’t perfect, but it was much better than I could play. Two of the songs he played were “Apologize” by Justin Timberlake and “Clocks” by Coldplay.
Then at dinner he played some more… but this time he set out a glass on the piano- and made money! From playing the piano after he was done eating.
He probably got about $5 total. Hey- that’s a sandwich.
Hope ya’ll had a great long weekend. Back to the real world now.
*oh yah, and check out what my roommate and I are doing to try to get more people to like us on our floor at the “White Board Joke of the Day” link to you left.*

As I’m sitting here I’ve got a snack. But not just any ordinary snack: kashi crackers + peanut butter. Can you say “yummo”? I haven’t had peanut butter in quite a while (we used to have a bad relationship, me and pb) but I decided that I could splurge a bit today (and probably needed to) since I burned a record 952 calories duirng my 1.5 hours of exercise today **edited out**
Normally Ill get somewhere between 500-750 calories burned. But today I added 30minutes of moderate effort on the elliptical to my normal 40 minute monday spin class. I also left it going when I walked to the spinning room and when I went upstairs to do abs with the group, where…
Our instructor instructed us to find a partner. That’s a problem. I’ve never been good at picking a partner for athletic things. In fact I would dread having to find someone to pepper (vb warm up: pass set and eventually spike/ down ball) with me a volleyball practice. Nobody would ever be my partner. I was always the odd one out. A lot of the time I had to work with the coach! Back to the gym… all the girls had their partners picked out already. All of them. Every last one. Taken. I had to work with one of the guys. (Everyone in the class is at least old enough to be my parent, except the instructor who is like 23ish) I had to work with one of the guys. Let me just say, he was very nice. But it was uncomfortable- especially when I was laying on the floor holding onto his ankles while bringing my legs up and him pushing my legs back down, he was standing behind me.
Andddd I don’t really know how to tie this up into once nice bow and finish the post. I lost my train of thought. **edited out**

Holy caloric intake, Batman!
8000??? Wtf. What in the world was the the calculator smoking before I entered my stats? Really, 8000 calories. If you only knew me.
When I’m relatively active I can eat about 2500 to maintain my weight. When I’m a couch potato I need about 2000 to maintain. How in the world could I even begin to consumer 8293.99 calories per day? Eat peanut butter all day long and constantly have the runs? Well, here are some options:
- Go to Heart Attack Grill in Arizona and order the “quadruple bypass burger”. But that means I would eat all 8000 in one sitting!
- Drink weight gainer shakes
- Become a scientist and harvest pure ATP, eat a mole of it and, voila: 8000 in the butt bank
- Slurp down 9 meals consecutively and try not to throw up
Ahh, thats all I can think of for now. Not that I’ll ever have to buy a plane ticket to Arizona or get my PhD to make sure I’m eating enough. I think I’ll stick with what know for now, and leave the calculators to the gullable thinking that it’s possible to eat a whole cheescake and still lose weight.

Look at me, I’m 18! The day started with me opening presents (!!!) my fav? the nike hrm. super cool if ya ask me.
We had got to go to church this morning. I chose an earlier service, I hate getting home at 1:30pm. Anyways… that afternoon- I went to see the new BATMAN movie. All this talk about heathy-boy being crazy good- it’s all true. it was super cool if ya ask me.
Hillary came over after that and brought me the balloons noted above and a mini cheesecake, since she knows i love cheesecake! what a friend, huh? she’s super cool if ya ask me.
for my birthday dinner, we went to my fav restaurant in KC. but you have to go to my new food blog to hear about it. it’s super cool if ya ask me.
After all that we went to HyVee and I bought some lottery scratchers tickets. I came sooo close to winning $4000 I could smell it, but alas, i didnt win anything. that’s not cool. but buying lottery tickets: super cool if ya ask me.
**go to TTG (thattallgirl) Fuel, please!**

null
The plan was to start my food diary today. But I’m a slacker… and don’t have anytime to make a new blog between the nap I need and showering and going to work- yes it’s almost 2pm. Let’s just say I’m enjoying the dog days of summer (Anthony Bourdain and Samantha Brown have been keeping me company for the last couple of hours).
I have the pictures of my food and everything! Summer and time management don’t go well together for me- I was also planning of going to the pool 40 min. ago to swim laps and read. Procrastination has struck again- this is cutting into my nap time! Nobody wants a grouch at work, do they?

I need to give some credit to Crabby McSlacker for this portion of my post… even though I was already thinking about posting about it today…
We totally got an AC unit in our spinning room at the gym today. Well, we probably got it yesturday, because it wasn’t there on monday. But gues what was there on monday?? Fans. Yes, three of them. Praise the Lord almighty! I have been told that it has reached 90* in there recently. It probably doesn’t help that it is located in a “renovated” raquetball court/room. They closed off the top because it was too noisy… and people were getting hit with raquetballs :/ . (no gym-boy today; it almost made me cry
)
As for the rest of my day- It was pretty low key, but still pretty awesome. After an intense spinning session I went to the library- yes I was still stinky… I picked up my books that were on hold: Anne of the Island and some Beverly Lewis amish book in the Abram’s Daughters series. Let’s just say I’m stoked to start reading these. Came home, talked with mom, had lunch, went to wal-mart and the dollar store, came home, snacked, napped, blogged, ate dinner, talked with my grandpa and aunt, and back to blogging.
As for my snack… well, one of them. I had a slice of watermelon.
As you can see, I like to eat my watermelon with a grapefruit spoon. It’s the only fun way to enjoy watermelon, you know. In the top left corner you can see my new toothpaste from wal-mart and O’s dramamine for her bus ride to and from summer church camp coming up here soon.
I can’t remember if ‘ve said this yet, but my birthday is on Sunday- it’s the big 18!!! OMG, can’t wait. I’m talking with the parents about going to a KC T-bones game. Don’t know if thats what we’ll do or not. For dinner: something REALLY ethnic.
**As for food, I’m thinking of starting a food diary type blog, kinda like Kath has… but mine wont be as good. I’m sure it will be interesting as I have a situation that not many other bloggers will have: *edited out* trying to lose weight while eating res. hall food. **

Have you ever had a super fun day? Well, I just had one. And even though I’m pooped, I’m still recapping the day for you- partially because I made the effort to take pictures for you. Lets begin.
The day started with a Royals game. Gotta love good deals $15 for a seat and a hot dog and a soda because it was family day. It would have been $13.50 had we found a 4th person- but none could be found
It was just Amber, Elizabeth, and me (far right) having a blast watching the Royals v. Mariners
It was a close game. And we got to see all the stats we could possibly want minus some on our new score board! It was mighty fancy. Hey, I even saw a familiar name up there: Ichiro Suzuki. You know that the Mariners used to be my team- or did you know that?? I am used to live in WA- 2 hours north of seattle and then 2.5 south of seattle a bit later. Only been in KC for 3.5 years. That’s why this guy was familiar.
During the 7th inning Sheridan’s Frozen Custard said that if the Royals got a run then you could come by their shop and get a free hot fudge sundae. And whatdoyaknow- they got a run! Free ice cream for TG!!
Yep, it’s all gone. I was too distracted after I got it, when we were walking out to our car, and the garage attendent walk 200 (!!!) feet to ask me how tall I am. Boy, times like that make me glad I’ve got 2 buddies nearby. He was a creeper. And on our way home, I’m pretty sure I saw a drug deal going down. Let’s just say the Kauffman Stadium/ Arrowhead Stadium (KC Chiefs) isn’t in a good part of town. So I was relieved when I got home. Plus I got to hang out with this fabulous girl. I’m going to miss her big time when I go to school
We went to the pool and swam/lounged about for 2.5 ish hours. It was super fun catching up on everything that going on- plus we planned our next 3 weekends or so. Now I’ve got to remember it all. You’ll definitely be hearing about it- since a lot of it revolves around my 18th birthday next sunday, a week from today
There’s so much more that I want to write but I need to keep mum until tomorrow so that I’ll have something to blog about.
**Last week was like crazy hormonal and I as I stated yesturday- I didn’t want to do anything. But I am back and kickin’. This week I will be going to some morning spinning classes (yay!) and swimming. I’ve got a nasty blister on my right heel the size of a nickel that’s trying to heal- so probably no running or lifting (??).This totally upsets my training for the race for the cure that I was wanting to do on Aug. 10th… bah gotta stop writing. Ciao**

Oh my- that’s all I can say… lo siento para no escribiendo mas noticias ayer (Sorry for not writing [posts] yesturday) (need to keep up my spanish you know
)
it has been crazy with work and hanging with friends, grocery shopping and dealing with the power going out. Let me start with yesturday:
Went to work, although I’d rather be in Italy drinking a margarita on the beach. Got home and cooked dinner. I felt like I was cooking for a boyfriend. Although I wouldn’t know what that would be like since I’ve never had one. Anyways… Cooked din din for my friend H and me. I made mac and cheese, grilled chicken, green beans and salad. I could show you some pictures but that would be boring.
H and I watched the Darjeeling Limited. Goodness it’s cast had Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, and Natalie Portman to name a few. It was a cute movie- and it’s at RedBox- thats means 1 dolla baby, or free if you get a large soda at Mickey D’s.
I went to bed pooped and woke up and had to go back to work. Get home from work, made pizza for my friend M and me. From dinner we went to Bed Bath and Beyond and then to Target to look at college stuff. Got home and the power’s out. Lovely, no internet.
Well, that was my last two days. Hope you enjoyed reading about as much as I enjoyed living it. And does anyone have any “wierd-things” suggestions like nail clippers or fabric softener that I might forget without your help?
